Cash Benefit Plan Quote - CancerCare+
CancerCare+ Plan Information

Insurance Coverage That Helps Manage Financial Risk of This Random Disease.

Who needs CancerCare+?

Cancer is an equal opportunity enemy. Cancer affects every race, ethnic group, and gender; and it doesn’t just affect the person who is diagnosed, but their whole family.

  • Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. and accounts for one of every four deaths.*
  • The risk of being diagnosed with cancer increases with age. About 77% of all cancers are diagnosed in persons 55 and older.*
  • In the U.S., men have almost a 50% lifetime risk of developing cancer; for women, the risk is a little more than 33%.*
  • Almost 16 million Americans (6%) were unable to obtain care due to the cost.*

Why CancerCare+?

You can use CancerCare+ for coverage in addition to other insurance; and the benefits are paid directly to you, to be used however you need to use them. You can use CancerCare+ for costs associated with:

  • First Occurrence: After the original diagnosis of cancer, not including skin, $1000 will be paid to you for you to use as you see fit.
  • Overnight Hospital Stays: drugs and diagnostic tests, doctor visits, and private nurse.
    • In or out of the hospital coverage: surgery (according to the surgical schedule), anesthesia, second & third surgical opinion, blood, radiation, chemotherapy, prescriptions, anti-nausea medication, and inpatient hospice care (if you are terminally ill).
    • Outpatient coverage: surgically implanted breast prosthesis, non-surgical breast prosthesis, ambulance transportation to and from hospital(s) and travel costs.

Cash Benefit Plan Quote - EquiCash
EquiCash Plan Information

The Insurance Policy That Pays You Cash In The Event Of A Covered Hospitalization

Who needs EquiCash?

Sure, most of us have health insurance and we think that’s all we need but consider this:

    • The average expenditure for a hospital stay is $8,793.
    • The average age of a hospital inpatient is approximately 53; 38% are age 65 years and over and 24% are age 75 years and over.
    • The average inpatient hospital length of stay is 5.5 days for people age 65 years and over, 5 days for those aged 45-64 years, and 3.7 days for those aged 15-44 years.
    • The increasing number of Americans age 65+ has the potential to greatly increase the nation’s already high health care costs. The cost of providing health care for one person age 65+ is approximately three to five times greater than the cost for someone younger than 65.

As concerning as these statistics are, EquiCash is an alternative to help pay the increasing out-of pocket expenses that today’s medical insurance does not cover.

All plans have deductibles, copayments and limits. This product is available for ages 45 to 85. Equitable’s EquiCash Hospital Indemnity Plan can help with these costs by providing the following benefits:
